But the in-game Ackbar is from the original movies, not ep7. So, it's no different than Sidious and Palp. Sidious is not Empire since there was no Empire at that point.

Sidious -> Palpatine, Luke -> Jedi Luke, Rey -> Jedi Rey, Ahsoka -> Fulcrum are all character development arcs in the saga. I get that they have to represent that in the game with different toons.
Ackbar has had like 4 lines in all the movies. He's the same person in Ep7 he was in Ep6. Home One is still as bad **** taking down SSDs in Empire's End that it was in Ep6.
So why hasn't this happened yet?!?! It can't be that hard.
Honestly, I'd +1 this but Ackbar isn't even close to being good enough for use. He needs a rework, not different abilities but his abilities need to be improved and perhaps a unique. I think he's, for lack of a better word, generic looking enough that they can just not put in another model for him and give him the tag but he needs help.

There's a reason we have "Old Ben" and "General Kenobi" or Darth Sidious and Emperor Palpatine.
What you said, lol
Old Ben should be a rebel too if you count Ahsoka as one.
Um, no? Have you seen the Rebels TV show? She's clearly working for the Rebellion. Kenobi was just safeguarding Luke.

Characters represent a slice in time. You can have multiples of the same character.
