Crystal Subscription - Same phone, same location, but I don't have it.

So an acquaintance of mine who is using Samsung (android, therefore google store platform) from Singapore has access to purchase the Crystal Subscription. He is also from the beta-launch. Under exact same circumstances, I do not have it. Can I ask how does this work?
