Exactly! A better product, but no pizzazz. No support. I've had blackberry, iPhone, windows, and android. By far the most stable is windows. It's the easiest to learn, but Microsoft and Nokia didn't provide any incentive for app developers. As a result it's a dead medium.
Betamax had better audio and better picture quality in a smaller package. But they didn't get in bed with the movie industry or have enough storage space (looking at you again nokia) so that medium died a painful and embarrassing death.

Not having to tap "5" three times to type the letter "L" was nice at first, I agree.
Then Apple came out and ruined it all. Ruined it fast.
