Guys Nutinni is a BUG

Sorry to burst your bubble guys:

Nutes Leader:
Stealthed Allies gain 55% critical chance and gain 50% Turn Meter the first time they score a critical on their TURN.

Currently, it is giving turn meter on assist, This is not WAI.

Its a bug.

FYI I have never defended the Devs look at Modgate 3.0 yesterday, the leader may still be decent after they fix it we will see.

    Not quite:
"Stealthed allies gain 55% Critical Chance and gain 50% Turn Meter the first time they score a Critical Hit each turn."
    https://swgoh.gg/characters/nute-gunray/

    The keyword there is "each".

If you have two jawas, they each get the TM on their turn, and their partner's turn. It's two separate turns.

Except nowhere does it say "on their turn"

It's actually "[...] gain 50% turn meter the first time they score a critical hit EACH turn"

So based on how it's worded it's 100% WAI and not a bug

it's a bug, we all need to get used to these unless they decide to actually invest in QA beyond hiring an undergrad intern. the odds of that happening are extremely low, if they were going to actually bother it would have been done months ago when these sorts of problems first started getting out of hand.

Maybe you're blind, can't read or just plain dumb.
It says each turn...not their turn.

Leader ability says "EACH TURN." Not on "their turn." Reading comprehension is rough I get it. But on a more serious note, here's how I broke it down to a guildie in our line chat:
    • TURN 1 (Scavenger's 1st Turn) Start:
    • Scavenger attack. (Gets 50% TM)
    • Dathcha Assist (Gets 50% TM)
    • TURN 1 END.
    • TURN 2 (Dathcha's 1st Turn) Start:
    • Dathcha attack (Gets 50% TM)
    • Scavenger assist (Gets 50% TM)
    • TURN 2 ENDS.
    • TURN 3 (Scavenger's 2nd turn) start:
    • Scavenger attack (Gets 50% TM)
    • Dathcha assist (Gets 50% TM)
    • TURN 3 ENDS.
    • And so on from there. Each one of the jawas is gaining 50% TM once during turn 1 and once during turn 2 and once during turn 3. Turn 1 is Scavenger's turn, but the leader ability just requires that the toons gain the TM boost once per turn, not once during their own turn.

The leader ability is not bugged in any way. It's all working entirely correct, it's just working "too well" for the Devs and so it's getting nerfed.

Assist is not a turn, its an assist.

An assist happens on a turn. "Each turn" doesn't mean just that character's turn. In fact, if you watch the videos of their new cash-cow....err....new Ahsoka...the text for her self-cleanse identifies as happening "each turn" and she cleanses herself every single turn taken by anybody (including any turn taken by an enemy).

It's working exactly the way CG wanted it to. They just didn't think it would get set up that way.

Either way, it was an unintended result of some uniques and a leader ability. Bug or not, sometimes you add a character that synergizes too well with another character. It's going to happen in a roster this large. It's within their right to adjust these abilities.

Wow, do people really need the effects of this strategy spelled out in such detail? Seems clear to me.

They put it that way so they wouldn't have R2D2 stealth Lando and SnowT then spam aoe over and over getting 100% tm. However they did want peeps who are called on assist to gain tm. They just didn't add everything together.

This. They just didn't test out their "fix" to Nute's leader ability with everyone, they "fixed" it so it would hinder AOE spam, but didn't actually test it with anyone else. Or if they did test it with anyone else, they clearly weren't testing very well.

And sometimes you get an unforeseen comp doing big damage on an 8-month old raid and the devs feel it is an important use of their time to change WAI behavior. However, ask them to fix the daily ticket counter that has been botched since the launch of guilds and they respond with "would you rather have a visual bug fix or new content?"

Keep in mind, that this comp works because of a raid specific buff for jawas. A buff that was implemented instead of actually fixing jawas so that they would be viable for anything outside of this one raid. Also, up until recently only two of them were part of a decent comp, and that was with droids. A lot of people fell for the trap of actually gearing up jawas, the little cuff hungry rats that they are. At least now, there is a payoff for gearing them.

Let people get their Kenobi's. It's an old raid. Focus on new content instead of changing behavior that is WAI. Or focus on existing bugs that have been in the game for over a year now.

So when they nerf Nute, or whomever because of this. That absolutely WILL warrant some compensation.
Unlike the zVader bug fix where the little girls demanded zeta refunds, even though they knowingly exploited a bug.

They probably tested Nute's adjusted leader ability but with a full team of five. It's not until you successfully get 3 of your team out of the battle where the setup works

It's not a bug, no matter how much you want it to be... And no my guild isn't struggling with HAAT, we clear it just fine very quickly...

it's not a bug, but why does it matter whether it is or isnt a bug? So that our feelings don't get hurt because it's a bug fix and not a nerf? lol

It's been said, but what the heck. It's not a bug. Each turn includes anything that happens in that toon's turn. e.g. QGJ assist attack calls Aayla who then calls someone else to assist. That's all one turn, Aayla doesn't loose any of her procs or breaks any mechanics because it's not her turn.
