Should i start selling shards?

I currently two 7* Darth Sid and lumi. Should I keep piling currency into them to sell shards or should I work on another hero/villian?.

You would be totally screwing yourself if you overfarm characters for shard exchange. You need 10 over-shards to get one new shard.
