so 50% health total 30k. you annihilate someone that has 30k max heath. you now have a 60k health pool but you are still at 50% health.
i guess in a way you gain that difference technically to stay at percentage.
it does make him alot harder to kill as lead yes. if you want to get his health crazy high in raids, annihilate the adds/turrets. his max health gain is additive. if you annihilate the boss he wont gain any max heath.
