capital ship turn meter issue

Please tell me if I'm missing something here, but with the perspective change in fleet battles that was implemented a month or two back, I have been unable to view the opposing capital ship's turn meter when it's my capital ship's turn. This is incredibly problematic, as if I'm facing a Tarkin team and it's my Mace's turn, I've been counting down to his TIE barrage and I need to know whether to throw my damage immunity or if my ships will all go and generate another turn for Mace before Tarkin goes again. Multiple times I've guessed that wrong, and either I wait and suffer the massive damage, or I throw it too soon and my whole fleet has burned through their protection before Tarkin's turn lights them up.

I haven't had that issue, but I have been frustrated when my TFP dodges it gives the TM gain to the other capital ship.
