Abandoning a Raid

If a guild abandons a raid are the tickets lost or refunded? Im sure this is posted somewhere I just didn't find it. Thanks.

Lost, you pay the tickets to start the raid.

Not absolutely true.
I have abandoned several raids in the past including one today that i had been playing for 6 months and recieved all my raid tickets back instantly.
However, apon starting a second raid today and finding it was also too hard for my characters, i abandoned it within 5 min of starting it and lost a lot of raid tickets.

So what gives??

When do you and dont you lose raid tickets apon abandonment??

Once you launch a raid the tickets are spent regardless if you can finish or not. You don't get a refund, though you may be getting the new ones generated by your members.
It's a good idea to be sure how strong your guild is and match your raids accordingly.
