Removing mods from arena team affect on defense?

Is your defensive squad set solely by the last squad you fought with in arena, including whatever mods were equipped at that time? Or does removing mods in the interim mean that other teams are now fighting them without those mods?

So if I borrow a few mods for my Rancor team, does that mean my arena team is more vulnerable for that period of time? Or is it the same as always because it's set by the last squad fought with?

Once you've removed, it's free from mods in arena for the period till you replaced them.
