GW battle path

Please.....! What is the deal with the ridiculous curveball at the mod point of the GW node path??
It seems like every time there is a group that winds up being more difficult then the final node, and then drops back to a lower level until the last 2-3 nodes.
I mean give me a break, is it really necessary to have a 7 star gear tier XI in the middle??
C'mon seriously change that, it is totally possible to lose all of your characters at the half way point of the node path, which I think is really unfair. For some if us that's the only effective way for us to build up credits, (since the reward system of the credit heist event is a joke).

The system is designed to test your full roster. You have a power rating (theories abound on how it calculated, top 5 or arena team). each node is a % of your power rating, most are lower, some even and a few higher.

They have stated that not everyone should complete all 12 nodes all the time. This is WAI, they are happy with the completion percentage and have no plans to change it.

you are at the hump we have all been there. keep working on it and you will get through.

there are many strategies to help you complete it. Please look around and ask for help.

Test my rister ?????? What kind of drug you are using ?
When i get my sqad wiped out before i even start or all i can do is to bring down protection of one char, and then it is imposible to knock down health because of his constant healing, ao you have no chance of succes....whats the point of this "test" ?
Hell, kast node, if i by miracle go here, is imposible to finish even if i should be able to bring there all my 15 best chars, all at same time, yeas, my 15 chars vs his 5 at same time, if some of them will not be allready dead.

Ok still doesn't explain why that half way point there is a fully maxed group in the middle, then weak groups all the way till the last 2-3 nodes. Looking around and having strategies doesn't explain why the mod march curveball is there. I never said that i have never got past it, it just seems dumb to have a maxed out node in between two weak nodes, if it's designed to "test my roster" then why do the nodes go back to a weaker level after node 6?
I posted to get a reasonable explanation to my question, not to have an elitist try to explain GW like I'm a noob.

The table is broken into four sets. Each set contains three nodes in increasing difficulty. Each set is more difficult than the previous set. But the first node of each set is easier than the last node of the previous set.
This is most likely designed to give you a chance to heal and/or recover and/or reset cooldowns for the next difficult node.
There's a good theorycrafting series of threads from a while back found <<HERE>>, but the important thing to note is the chart of the scaling difficulty of GW nodes:
Scaled by Roster Top5KF8YHRJ.png I have recorded data (a little/a lot/all) for 32 GW runs since June 30. The red circles show the power levels at each node, on average, and the red text shows the value of that point. The blue dots show where today's run fell in relation to those circles. The yellow text shows the standard deviation at each node. You can see through the middle of the run, power levels were a tick more than normal.

It really doesn't matter, the GW Is a cheat anyway, designed to frustrate you into spending more money to try to boost your players to combat the blatant cheat nodes it constantly throws at you. I literally just went through 6 of my groups and never got a single turn....NOT ONE! I don't care what kind of TM boost any player has there is no way I go through 6 groups without a single of my guys getting even one shot. The AI controlled teams hit every single bonus options that their players have no matter how miniscule the percentage is for the bonus.
I've been saying it since the first time I played this game....All CPU controlled team always has at least a 3 to 1 TM advantage, their negative buffs have much more of an effect the player buffs, and hit every bonus ability no matter how small of a percentage the ability has attached to it.

You guys can keep GW I'm done with it. I'll do my 1 daily match requirement just to finish my daily activities.

I'm sure what comes next are the EA employees posting under their fake player profiles to tell me how wrong I am, save your time, cause I'm abandoning this thread.

Did you have preloaded TM? Of those six teams did you use any of them in previous nodes? If you haven’t then you need to start. Otherwise the other team will constantly go before yours.

I had the same issues that you have had. I was told by EA in dealing with another issue. That gw takes other users arena teams and has you face off against them. Likewise they face off against your arena team in gw. However ea reserves the right to "randomly change the level and power of the arena teams in GW. Further they stated even if you put a week team into arena it won't matter because EA i setting the levels of your opponents.
This probably explains how we were facing level 12 teams before we could get to level 12. How some team members had instant characters 7 stars that no one else could get to 7 stars. Facing teams that never even let you take a shot. Facing off against top level team on the second node.
It's basically like going to a casino.

Im all for "testing our rosters"...but lets be real here for a minute...Sith, First Order, Nightsisters, Droids, Bounty Hunters, Sepratists etc are all weak when facing CLS(L), Kenobi, Thrawn, R2 and Nihilus. And when you have to face that same team 3-4 times a day at nodes 6/9/11 and 12 none of the factions i listed are gonna make a dent to the CLS meta.

So many people including myself need to run our arena teams in order to beat those teams and we are lucky if we dont lose a meta toon or two in the process.

Im not complaining about gws being too hard...im complaining about fighting G12, fully ztea'd, GodMod meta teams multiple times every single day.

I havent lost a single gw node since April of 2016....everyday i have been completing gws...now all of a sudden with the addition of CLS and G12..its looking more and more likely that i could be unable to finish gws anyday now.
Wanna see a trolls weak roster? Here ya go---->>>> https://swgoh.gg/u/nicwester/You've been warned.

If you're like me and play faithfully everyday getting rank 1 constantly, working with others in your shard to not only stay competetive but also working to keep out new players from dropping your rank, then you will understand what I'm saying.

When CLS came for the first time there were a lot of new faces that entered the top 10. Now that he is coming back we will see even more climbing the ranks...not because they have a good roster, or because they are good players..but because they finally got the CLS toon they have been crying about for months. We all know how good CLS is and how he fits into any team or any part of this game.

The shard I'm in has the exact same feeling as I do: All of us don't like to see new faces. All of us have controlled the top of our arena shard for well over a year and the last thing we want is to have to share our ranks with other players, not because they are good or deserve to be in the top 10...but because they weren't good enough to make it to the top 10 with what they had.

Instead they are gonna climb the ranks because of 1 toon. Just 1 toon...that's it. They haven't worked endlessly day after day for months holding on to their ranks of their daily payout, helping each other out like so many of us do. Nor have they helped each other out from snipers like many of us also have done.

My suggestion...work together to keep out all these new faces that get into the top 10 not because they are good or ain't good or deserve to be there...but because they couldn't get there before now all of a sudden because they got Luke they think they are top 10 arena tier and deserve to be there. They don't deserve to be there. Attack them soon as you get the chance to.

I know this isn't a popular opinion and I'm gonna get tons of hate...and honestly I don't even care. I'm just saying what the majorty of all the top people of their arena shards are thinking:

All these new players that are gonna enter the top 10 deserves to be targets first. Make them work for it. Show them just how competetive the top 10 is and what it takes if they wanna try and stay there.

To all the new players entering the top 10...you better be ready for a war cause you're not climbing the ranks that easily because you finally got Luke. Better mod up, refresh and be ready to change your team up cause for players like me and many others: it takes dedication, team work, communication and a willingness to log in multiple times a day to hold on to your ranks that we've held on to for well over a year...and many others and myself aren't giving it up without a fight. Just because you finally got Luke doesn't mean you are gonna get an easy free ride to the top.

If you can't beat any combination of squads in the top 10....you simply just don't belong there yet.

Keep sipping on that CG Koolaid my man. If you think that a single node should be able to wipe an ENTIRE roster of multiple zeta teams then you're just as dense as the devs. You don't supply a game mode with the intention of it not being completed unless you've paid a massive amount of money. Even those that have still can't beat it.
