Ok. Running completely f2p here. in the early levels,which is the best to work on, Gear or Levels?

I think gear is always the most important thing to improve

Early on crystals all go towards energy refreshes. Max out your arena squad first, levels and gear. Don't need a huge roster, just one or two teams that do really well. Since I've started, all I've geared up past G7 is Resistance, Empire and Rebels. Still a top contender, and only a minimal spender

Don't waste credits leveling more than just your main squads. Don't waste gear on anyone you aren't using now or very soon.
