Better shard drops on higher nodes?

So, I'll be farming JC soon in cantina. I noticed that the purple ability mats drop way more often on the lvl 6 difficulty nodes. Is this the same with shards? Should I farm JC on the higher node or the lower node? If they are the same drop rate, I'll farm the lower node since it's cheaper.

I believe a dev confirmed drop rates are linear across all nodes.
