Advice on an Empire team build

Hello!

I'm trying to phase out a Maul-led Sith team for arena purposes. I'm thinking:

Thrawn lead (zeta)
Tarkin (zeta)
ShoreT
Stormtrooper
Nihilus (zeta)

I'd like to bring in DT at some point but that's a little way down the line.

I'm hoping to stay top 100 in a mature shard - December 2015 I think.

Will I just get stomped on by Rebel teams??

Ok. Cheers. I'm flexible on either Tarkin lead or Thrawn (not least I don't have Thrawn yet! But hope his event returns fairly soon).

What are you running and how is it doing given the current Rebel meta?

I was using Tarkin (L), Thrawn, Shore, Nihilus and EP/Vader (Top 50)
I Zeta'd Barris last week and now I'm using GK Zarris :v

I think that comp is missing DPS and you've got DN and Tarkin with AOE attacks that can get them or your tanks shredded quickly. Even with Tarkin unique zeta, rebels can trash him pretty quickly.

I think that comp is also missing DPS or the control that the DT/DK combo gives. Even the best empire comps are struggling right now on defense so buyer beware.

That said, I love my empire and I finish top 3 daily but some days I need a refresh to do so.

I'm not thinking too much about the current Rebel / CLS domination but further ahead. I assume that Vader and Palpatine will get re-worked at some point that could bring Sith and/or Empire back into the mix.

Agree. My proposed comp needs DT.

Prior to the rebel pass and CLS proliferation i ran a few empire variants.

Tarkin lead, Thrawn, DT, Nihilus, Shore.
The speeds were set so that DT went first and increased CDs, then Tarkin aoe debuff, then nihilus increase CDs again. After nihilus kills someone, DT uses death mark and destroys the rest of the team.
Also ran Thrawn lead, DT, Krennic, Shore, and Storm.

The problem is with all the Luke leads and Leia and raid Han updates aoe = toast.

Now run GK, Zarris, OldBen, Thrawn, nihilus.
