A full Mk6 Droid Caller can't be crafted?

I bought the "prepare for tb" pack and received, as promised, one of the new Mk6 Droid Callers that are used to take several people to g12. But that full Mk6 Droid Caller can only be put on r2 and Emperor Palpatine (those are the only ones I have that requires that item alone I am unaware if there are others.) which seems weird because a lot of other characters need it as well to craft another new gear piece. Seems like a bug to me... And it's very unpleasant when you just spent 60$ and the item doesn't work...

That sounds not so good, I really considered buying the pack, because the gear is pretty useful. I thought I would be able to take my Vader to gear 12 with the pack, after farming the Mk5 Medikit blueprints. But since the Mk6 Droid Caller can not be used as needed, it reduces my incentive to buy it a lot.
