Have a gear piece but it won't allow me to use it

Maybe it's what I get for whaling but I bought the $60 pack and got the full mk6 droid caller but I can only equip it to a toon that only needs that one gear. When I try to equip it to a toon that needs the droid caller and other items, it says I don't own any.

Double slap to the face considering I just bought it. But, what gives?

Yeah others have complained about it as well. For some reason the gear piece you want to equip requires salvage instead of a full piece. It's most certainly a bug, not sure if it had been answered in another thread.
