Darth Vader in Arena. Do you use him?

Vader seems to be a polarizing figure in this game. People tend to either like or dislike him. Many people in the forums report only using him in GW. Have you ever used him in the Arena?

I use Darth Vader in Areana fights and plan to continue

I have Vader at 4*, GL 8(5/6), lvl 70, abilities 6773 (working on 7773), power 4395. I am currently 1st in my Arena and I run him with a 7* Phasma lead, 7* Sid, 7* Poe, 7* Kylo. I'm 14 shards from my 5th Vader star and I can't wait.

If Vader is ever able to be 7*, he will rule the game. Even as it is now, he is the only 4* character that can hang with the 7* characters. When the death by DOT is restored, his functionality goes way up. He has such great synergy with Sid / Kylo and their DOTs. Ever seen 7 DOTs on an enemy? I have. Its funny when they also have ability block and heal block too. There is so much red above them that you can't see how much health some of the characters have left. The information gets obliterated by all the red dots. Throw that culling blade at them and its game over for that toon.

His health is 13456. How many 4* boast that?

I use Darth Vader in Areana fights and plan to continue

I use team with Phasma, Lumi, Sid, Luke and according to situation Vader or Obi-Wan.
Pros: He's pretty useful because of ability blocks (especially against QGJ teams), DOT's and Culling Blade with 1-shot potential.
Cons: Only 4/5*, very bugged, Yoda's Battle Meditation makes him weak and useless.
Anyway, I'll stay with him, but I'm waiting to fix.

I'll continue to gear and level him up and see what happens with his power. I'd like to use him in Arena. I currently only use him in DS battles.

I got my vader right at 50 and got him to gear 7 by the next day. I agree that once the DOT becomes fatal again he'll find his place in arena again and also if we can get some more achievements for shards, that be great too! I've only been playing this game for about three weeks and have stayed #1 in my server with the line up!

I used to run Vader but he brings my power down too much that I just can't compete with him in there. My server is just too old now. I might have try your lineup for fun one day though and see how it does with only a 5* Poe.

It doesn't matter what your power is. It matters if you win.
My squad:
Sid, power 5464
Kylo, power 5398
Phasma (lead), power 5150
Poe, power 4845
Vader, power 4395

I have higher powered toons than Vader (like Asajj at 4860) but they won't improve my squad.

Total power 25,252. I can beat our current leader who is power 27,158.

I do believe EA moved the 6 and 7* vaders to a cheating server. Although I saw some Russian guy in the bugs report section complaining that he was outright banned for the exploit. Regardless, there aren't any legitimate 6* out there to the best of my knowledge and having Vader at 5* will be beastly.

I still haven't gathered enough shards to unlock Darth Vader

I've been inspired to unlock my Vader asap and try him out. I'm in a very new server with only a dozen level 70s around atm. It could be interesting

I had to give Vader up as my server matured. I have him at 5* now, but he is still too weak to feature in a top Arena team. So sad! I'm going to need 2 more stars before I can think of adding him back in. Right now that is impossible to get. So Vader is dead.

Have to say I'm a bit shocked to learn that someone can actually be 1st with Vader. Vader is my favorite SW character and I have him totally maxed out and missing 20 shards to 5 stars.
But I don't see how he could improve my current squad.
I have all the same 7 star, lvl 70 maxed toons as you except for Poe, I guess he makes a big difference on your squad.
I use 7 QGJ (l), 7 Sid, 7 Lumi, 6 Dooku and 5 Rey, can't get higher tank then 28-30 on my server.

I'm reviving this thread. Vader is back in arena. 10k power with a palp lead, at least until he gets his zeta.

I currently use boba lead with Vader, RG, TFP, and b2. I plan on changing it up in the future when I unlock shore and get palpatine geared (I just recently unlocked him). I use Vader mostly because he works well with the team I am using, but his only useful qualities are his culling blade and DOT aoe.
