At one point do you start looking for your shard?

I've been pretty consistently breaking into the top 20 at my payout but max out 11-15ish. Its either teams I have no business beating or a bunch of GK/Zarris that I can't break through after that.

Should I look for my shard chat or wait till I'm more of a top 10 player before trying to coordinate with them? I don't deserve top rank but it be cool to get top 10 every so often and top 20 all the time

I'm not a top player (anymore) but my shard is very communicative. Almost 40 shard members in our group.
