G12 resistance characters worth it?

Looking at getting a couple of my teams to g12 right now. Got my rebels, starting on some Jedi, and looking into resistance. Now I know they will be meta here soon, but I'm worried that some of the new characters coming are going to replace the older resistance characters. Are they still worth the investment to get a jump start on them?

Poe, Finn and R2 would definitely be worth gearing up since they will never be replaced on a resistance team (maybe R2 can). The other resistance members, however, I've already seen people replacing them so I wouldn't get them to gear 12. BB-8 might be a candidate as well, but with resistance as long as you go first or get the ball rolling its hard to lose after that.

Ok... yeah I got R2 at g12 and Poe at g11, Finn is a stun gun away from g10, but I am just wondering if someone like Jedi Rey would take over Finn or others. I guess I will for sure get those other 2 up to g12 soon.

Also can't get BB8... Didn't get my FO up in time
