It's a tough one to come by. Remember to always buy them for credits in shipments. They come up fairly often in sets of three for like 2500 credits. You can also buy them in shipments for about 300 crystals, fully crafted. I do that every once in a while if I really need them.
They are easier to farm than many G9+ pieces of salvage. It's a good time to get in the habit of simming all of your energy away to slowly craft a piece of gear. Once you start farming gold balls and power generators, you'll realize holo projectors were pretty easy to obtain.

I buy anything that costs credits in shipments until I have over 200 of them.
