5 star Yoda impossible to get with a 5 star jedi team
I have a 5 star jedi team I completed last night in order to obtain yoda. After trying numerous times last night and today, I have been unable to do more than take 5-10% off yodas health before he slaughters my team. It is impossible to defeat 5 star yoda with a 5 star team. I do not know if this is a glitch, or not. However, if it is not then yodas difficulty at 5 stars needs to be dropped drastically. As yoda is the character I want the most, and I spent over $300 to get a decent 5 star jedi team in time to get him in this event this time through, not to mention the other money I've spent since I started, if this isn't rectified before the event ends this time through, I will not spend another cent in the future. I'm not angry about spending money, but about the fact that I did so based on the insinuation from the game that a 5 star team could defeat yoda when it clearly could not, with the most extreme of exceptions. Please fix this before the event ends. Ty

All levels and stars are as they were when I beat Yoda; the only improvement I have made since beating Yoda is adding gear to Eeth Koth.
Incidentally, when I talked to cs, even the rep and the manager said the difficulty was a bug, which is why they said to post here as they couldn't do anything themselves.

Having 5 random, most likely non-synergized, jedi at level 51 at gear level 5 or 6? Yeah. If you expected that to work then you clearly expected a free Yoda. Just wait, gear your jedi up, level them up, and get your Yoda when the event comes around next.
And BTW: Lvl60 up and purple gear is not a strict requirement. But if every single member of your team is below that it will be extremly hard. I won't say it can't be done. Many ppl stated that it's mostly about RNG (or call it "luck"). Did you read the threads about the 7* fight? There are ppl who claim to have tried this fight a few hundred times before they suceeded. How often did you try?
I've read your OP, and you're threatening to not spend another dime if they don't change the difficulty so you can complete it. Sounds pretty entitled to me.
I'm totally f2p and unlocked the green devil and like I said I did it on autoplay. You are the first one posting about 5* yoda, guess noone else is having problems with the 5* version. As stated before, you can enter the 5* event with 5 5* jedi, that doesn't mean you can complete it. I suggest you use the final hours of the event to train and gear your team and you might complete it. Good luck with that
The difficulty on 3* and 4* are not in line with the 5* challenge. Worked hard to get a 5* team (level 53) after face rolling 4* challenge with a full 4* team (level 40ish).
The end result was disappointing. Kinda. Mad props to 5* Yoda face rolling my 5* team for over five hours of attempts. And I actually had one 6* jedi (lumi).
The end result was so one sided I decided to basically hold off and level up / gear up for the next month and see if that will make the difference. I still can't help but feel the first four tiers were made easy to bait people to try for the 5* tier only to be surprised by the increase in difficulty.
I don't know what makes me sadder: the fact that yoda was so unimpressed with my jedi team or the fact that the activated yoda (even at 7*) will not be anywhere near as impressive as his challenge counterpart...

On the other hand, the event returns in just three weeks, plenty of time fore you to lvl up (you should be at the cap by then if you spend money) and then it will be all the sweeter when you get him. Good luck.
but what you are experiencing is not a bug, its just extremely difficult. Spend your time upgrading your team of 5* jedi for when the challenge comes back. Get them all to level 70, gear 7 or higher, and upgrade their good abilities as best as you can and you'll be able to beat it
I was going through the same thing with the 7* challenge, I had the team, and they were levelled up fully, but I wasnt able to beat the challenge until I got them all to gear 8+ with important abilities maxed or almost maxed out
i managed to do it at lvl 59 and all under gear lvl 7
I had this team.
Lumi 6* gear lvl 6
QGJ 5* gear lvl 5
Kit 5* gear lvl 5
Gun Di gear lvl 5
JC 5* gear lvl 6
All level 59
These are my only five star (or higher) Jedi so this team is what I had to work with. And it took me a lot of tries. Mostly it's luck. Unfortunately. I ran Lumi as the leader but Yoda does so much damage the small amount of health before each turn didn't seem to make a difference, nor did any of my Jedi seem to be dodging or evading more often. So I changed to QGJ, hoping his speed would help me attack more often. I think I saw a slight increase in my attack frequency, maybe I was just imagining it.
Either way, the rounds went pretty much the same every time. My JC always got targeted the most and died early on. I could get a few good hits from him before then . Everyone else you just have to hope stays alive long enough. Most could withstand a few hits from Yoda. I healed early on with Lumi, waiting too long made it impossible as Yoda attacks often and multiply times. I had Gun Di and Lumi left in the end, and Yoda attack Gun Di with his most powerful attack, which didn't give him the foresight, and which allowed Lumi to take out the rest of his health. Just luck I think.
I tended to always try and start my round by letting my weakest character die, which in my case was JC. Everyone else seemed to be able to withstand more hits, thus was more useful. Kit was helpful with his counters and bonus attacks, which would sometimes help take off the foresight buff. Gun Di dos little other than be a tank and provide little defense. Lumi and QGJ were obviously very useful with healing and generating the extra attacks respectively.
A side note, QGJ's attack that calls for an ally assist is able to be dodged by a single foresight, I was thinking QGJ's first attack would take it away with the second providing damage. Kit on the other hand, if he attacked a foresighted Yoda, and then followed up with a bonus attack, the bonus attack would do damage.

Earn what? It's way overtuned. I did the first sets of Yoda events, and it was like easy mode. My Jedi didn't have to be max level or geared, and there was no strategy involved whatsoever. So, I don't have a problem with them fixing it where it requires skill and effort. But, it's broken, now. My team of 7* Lumi, 7* JC, 7* MW, 6* Ahsoka, and 6* QGJ can barely make a dent before they are completely annihilated.
I've spent months farming and leveling these Jedi for these Yoda events, and it appears to be for naught, at this point. So let's not flippantly talk about "earning" something.
They didn't overtune it one bit. He's always been difficult once you pass Tier 5. I, along with anyone else who's beaten Tier 6 or higher, have gone through the same challenge, and we came out the other end knowing we had earned it. For you to demand a "fix" because it's too hard for you is just as insulting as you found my "flippant" response.
