Credit starved

Anyone else consistently credit starved? I don't mind the multi resource requirements but seems like credits have lagged for me for quite some time with no real solution. I've got five 7* three 6* and a bunch of 5s. Most gear maxed where it can be. Besides winning galactic war just seems credits lag behind it. Any tips?

Had several million a few days ago but after taken a couple a characters to 65 drained my credits. All I can do now is take a break from leveling and work on farming shards and gear.
