Are these the "waves" ot the whole battle? In TB DS for example?

Yes.
For example, raid Han will attack first at each wave, shoretrooper will start each wave with taunt erc.

yeah gw is 12 encounters, normal/cantina battles are 3 encounters, mod challenge 5encounter ds tb 4 encounter ls tb 6 encounter

GW is 12 Battles of 1 Encounter each. HAAT is 1 Battle of 4 Encounters.
