Resistance team compositions help

So I heard that the best synergy for resistance is Finn leader and zeta, Poe, and trooper, and I was thinking r2 and BB to finish it off.
PS I won't be getting jtRey this time.

Is there a better team comp for them?

That can work. If you want to save r2 for rebel teams you can add scavenger Rey into his spot or even better, add RP in that spot.
Finn/Poe/trooper is the golden trio. They put down enough exposes alone to make resistance work.
RP gives out an expose so she is actually pretty good as fourth but not needed, I don’t use her.

That's a good comp. Resistance Pilot is a good alternative to R2 since he can inflict Expose. I wouldn't say either of these comps is superior to the other, just that they play differently and require different strategies.

Alright. So what about JTRey.
I have seen no one caring about her. Did she just not change the meta?
Is she just really mediocre.

She didn't change the meta.

And she certainly seems pretty mediocre at this stage.
