What’s the key to being able to do this raid, our guild have been trying for a bit every once in a while, recently we got about halfway through P3. Before only 2 people had CLS now we’ve got st least 15. Will that make the difference?

P2 can take a lot of teams. You need many Resistance, Clones and Droids teams to get past and save a lot of resources. After that it's way easier.

Yes, more CLS will make a difference (assuming the people getting him gear him of course). CLS is extremely useful in a variety of teams in different phases.

That’s what I figured. I got him today and already have him at gear 12 and my guild knows he’s important so they’ll follow suit

Palpatine and Thrawn are both also excellent characters and both will be available in events in January. Thrawn can work in a super team (with cls and raid han etc go in any phase and do 20%) or with Palpatine in a phase 3 specialist team.

There are so many phase 3 specialist teams built around palpatine. Try it now. If you fail look again at the end of January.

Yeah I’ve got both of them, I’ve been playing the game since the beginning so I’ve got lots to work with. Just not sure about combinations.

Yeah you probably do and I don't know where your guildmates are but 10 more Palpatines and Thrawns could probably help if you fall short.

All these teams are supposed to be able to do at least 2% in their phase with gear viii or ix and more with higher gear.

Naraic's link is great for inspiration. Just be aware that there are more good combinations as well. F.ex. Datcha lead with CLS and raid Han can solo phase 1.

On a side note:
Do you take the time to move your best mods around between teams? Using your best mods makes a huge difference. Until you have hAAT on farm, moving mods around could be the thing that helps you reach the goal.

If they put in every cls team that can do the job they would be there all day.

I think in making those teams they purposefully used the top tier characters sparingly or not at all cls raid Han r2d2 Jedi training Rey thrawn general Kenobi bb8

CLS and Raid Han can solo p1 themselves. Dathcha isn't required.
