Need a strong ally

I'm trying to complete dark side battle 5L with 3 stars, i keep coming just short of it with 1 or 2 toons dying. However i feel like i could complete it with a strong enough ally (the only allies i'm being offered are 2-3 stars which contribute nothing to the fight.)
