Awfully Quiet for TLJ?

Anybody get the feeling that this game had a more aggressive marketing stance during Rogue One than TLJ's release?

It has been underwhelming so far and it's quite sad to see that there has not been any new content release for both Resistance and FO, other than FOSFTFP, KRU and JTRey.

Although it would be nice to have more TLJ toons, the break has been nice. The amount of new modes, toons and over all requirements of the game where streching folks thin. It’s nice to be able to have time to work on the toons we all just got. I’m sure they will be throwing new content at us soon enough, It is a business after all.

Rogue One had a whole cast of characters to bring to the game, but when it comes to TLJ... Hmm... I can only really think of adding Rose as a worthwhile endeavor, and even that is debatable, I suppose. Without going too deep into spoiler territory, I don't personally feel like many of the other characters (that we don't already have) made much of an impact.

I agree, there hasnt been much about it on the game, especially when compared tothe rogue one release.
Might be because they dont like the movie, like a lot of people didnt. Their silence on the subject makesme think so. Although you would think disny would be wanting to make a big deal about it.
If im honesy i wasnt a big fan of the resistance characters in the movie and im just not sure what they would do with them- mary poppins especially

I would like to see a variation of FO in the game tho- preatorian guards especially.
Although, General Hux has gone down in my books after seeing the film- hes now just a whining cry baby

Or maybe, because of the last two holiday weeks, they wanted to give their Dev teams a break. Starting on Monday, they would start the new cycle of updates and character releases...

Rogue 1 was a good movie lol but TLJ........ think even EA know the movie was utter garbage

I actually ejoyed TLJ... although i understand why some are frustrated. I think the crew just took a break and new toons are coming this week.
Makes me wonder how many people are actually working on this game... seems it s a small team for a huge business...

Before I saw the movie, I was hoping that they would add several TLJ characters into the game. After I saw the movie, I was much less interested...

Rogue One got characters I wouldn’t even know if it weren’t for this game (Pao, Bistan) as well as generic characters (Shoretrooper, Scarif Rebel Pathfinder). I would think a bunch of those types of characters would come for TLJ. It’s crazy that we can’t even form 2 entire teams of resistance or first order yet. There are a ton of possible characters to choose from. Snoke, Hux, Maz, Rose, Holdo, etc. There were a few FO captains whose names I can’t remember. That DS Droid. There could be plenty of generic characters like FO Executioner that would be interesting. They could even add new versions of Leia and Luke.

What would they add the movie was horrible. Don't tell me rose, what would she bring? The ability to crash into a friendly or fall in love after a few hours... Lol come on man get real. Let TLJ die (pun intended) give out: zeta to palps, unique Vader, maybe toss in a Revan toon and slap him with a sith/Jedi tag. Grievous needs help too.

I'm simply playing devil's advocate here, as I couldn't care less about seeing any of TLJ characters added, but of all of them, at least Rose did actually do something more than stand around. Still, we already have Bodhi Rook doing what he does and I couldn't imagine any justification for making her a better character than he is, which isn't very good at all to begin with.

It's probably because the movie was complete trash and they don't want to embarrass the name of Star Wars. I hope they bring EU and Legends characters in now. Forget the new characters Disney calls "canon."
In all seriousness, it is nice to have a break to work on other characters, however I would like to see Hux (episode 7), Snoke (episode 7), TR8R, and Flametrooper. Anyone from the new movie is lame and underwhelming. Snoke and Hux aren't even cool to me anymore and I think EA might know that.

They don't want to release toons that are disappointing. So they only release strong toons. They want people to buy these toons, they can't just give them us for free in the several stores, like they did with R1. So they stretch it. They can't sell all the expensive toons at once. People would start to think that all they think about is to milk us.
Also there are two years until the third movie, one year between the next spin-off. Some time to fill.
The praetorian guard will be here soon.

Like for example, General Hux? FO Capital Ship? Or did the reaction from SW Battlefront stifle such efforts?

Seeing how some of my peers already did KRU to 7* and golden gear, the potential was there.

I'm not an expert, but I'd think they'd already had the characters in the works (surely they playtest this stuff, right?) if they were going to release any around TLJ launch, which means even if the Battlefront situation had any impact at all, those character would have surely been in the pipeline before that, you'd think.

While the legendart event for rey was great, the whole tlj/x-mas/new year was in total disappointing. Instead of pushing ds tb i would have hoped for more tlj content and for a real sales promotion and not those two jokes we saw happening.

Also playing devil's advocate here, but if we put criticism aside, assuming we can, which I doubt is possible at all, Purple lady and Rose the SJW had a major role in TLJ's plot worthy of Fleet Commander and healer repectively.

Purple lady deserved mutiny for keeping everything secret when they were on the verge of annihilation, but Finn and Rose's trip to casino took place due to her. And her Hyperspace Kamikaze destroyed much, if not most, of FO fleet, though it is a mystery why such effective tactic was never used in any of Original Trilogy, Prequel Trilogy, Rebels and Clone Wars.
Rose the SJW was involved in most criticized part, the casino trip, but the trip made most of Resistance become ashes in space. And she saved Finn a moment before he collides into battering ram, putting survivors at the risk of annihilation, but that scene allowed Luke Skywalker to be a hero once again, rather than die as Jake Skywalker who would attempt murdering his nephew for what MIGHT happen in the future.

We had Pao and Bistan, and it would not be surprising to have characters from TLJ in this game. We can have the caretakers and the milk animal from Skywalker's tiny isle can be in this game as well. At the very least, Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy would not object IMO. IIRC, a vid from one of gc said that one of EA's official post mentioned Rose will be in the game and that very part was deleted later.

Couldn't agree more to the promotion deals bit. It's as though they didn't want to capitalise on the holiday sales and the release of TLJ.

And how is this not a General Discussion topic? @ Moderator Kyno? Just asking because everything seems to be moved from General Discussion. So what is General Discussion for? Just pointing out that I ain't creating this post to give EA feedback.

I have no doubt there are going to be quite a few worthless expensive characters announced or released in the next couple of days. My guess is that TLJ wasn't nearly as popular as they expected and they had to rework some things before dropping them.

I don't get why some of you want rose in this game. She's worthless! As useful as an ugnaught lol. I'd be willing to be a good percentage of folks don't want any trash from TLJ, don't re hash a bad movie by giving us horrible characters. That's just an insult.
