I just watched Ventriss try to debuff negative effects on the opposite team, she had full health so there was no reason to use that ability to heal herself.

Yes I was about to report this as well. She used her skill even though the team had no buffs to remove and she wasn't like on health. One member of her team was low on health so maybe her AI still thinks that her skill heals the whole team.
