Returning player shard inequality?!?

I recently got back into the game after taking a year off from it. I was level 60 when i Stopped. Now i am level 81, im in a serious guild and everyone in my shard from before has fully geared charcters while i am struggling for scraps. Their GP is way higher than mine and i am constanlty geting knocked back into the 1000’s. Wouldn’t it be better to match a shard up by GP on at least a weekly baisis? Just in case someone takes a break or something. Just looking for some feedback. Thanks for reading =] B)o:)B)

no, bcos that would place whales against whales, which would negate the pay to win advanatge, which means playing has no purpose for whales, which means no profit for EA, so they ll stop game development and i will be sad

No, it wouldn't be better. They earned their advantage by playing while you didn't. However, depending on your shard, you will be able to slowly climb again. I had an alt, which I had left untouched at level 35 for 14 months, when I picked it up again just for fun. It took me 6 months to enter top—500 consistently, and now it's in the mid 300s surrounded by g12 players with CLS, zetas and such. Luckily, I got into a young fleet arena shard and I can only just get inside top—20 for at least some extra crystals. It's a dufferent and fun experience alongside my main :—)
