Graphic Issue?

I just thought I'd ask this incase anyone can shed any light.
I updated my S7 Edge today to the Oreo build, and when I loaded the game I noticed there was a 13mb update.
Now on the cantina home screen, I am getting a shimmering light issue. Looks a bit like the Northern Lights going off.
However when I move left or right it disappears. And it isn't present on any other screen. it's very strange to be honest, and I'm perplexed. There's no fault anywhere else on the phone, and I've tried changing all the display settings (720p, 1080p, Adaptive, Amoled etc) to no avail.
Anyone got any clue what might be happening here?

Sounds more hardware than software, but not sure.
