SWGoH was released on November 24. Neither May the 4th nor May 24th are the anniversary of SWGoH.
Which day should be the big, huge, ultimate giveaway of ultimate destiny? May the 4th? May 24th? November 24th?
All of the above! More free stuff means we feel more appreciated and are more likely to keep playing and that makes it more likely for us to spend money
I get a sense of pride and accomplishment when I continuously spend money on content within content within content on Star Wars Battlefront II. Should've picked up the warranty on the game now that i think about it.
This year? New character, major rework to a beloved faction, raid Han shards, raid Han character of the month, and these chance drops are more than double drops, at least on hard nodes. When you can go to a 12 energy hard node and have a chance not just at the character there, but also at two shards for a character normally locked to a 20 energy hard node, that's a tripled reward. That's not to be scoffed at. Also, this is the first two zeta log in month, and for the older players for whom the rest isn't as relevant, they added a huge endgame event for extremely rare shards. Yes, some people already had those, but by that point, there's not a whole lot left to give those folks.
We're getting a ton of stuff. And comparing it to last year, it's apples and oranges, but it stacks up pretty well. Yeah, it's different, and a little more limited, but nobody's getting screwed, here. And it's consistent with the general approach they've been taking to a lot of things lately; more vectors, rather than bigger piles of stuff. That still ends in you having more.
Well, yeah, when your game isn't very good you need to give things away to keep people interested.
Yeah, yeah, I believe you are right and the game (like this game) you play is the best so the game you don't play isn't, which is why you have written 4,505 posts
When a game is good, I personally don't want to write even one post because I just play and enjoy the game

What else am I going to do at the laundromat while my energy is refilling? One of the things I like about this game is that playing it doesn’t suck up all my time. I can usually do everything I *need* to do in a day in bed after waking up. Then I only have to check in once or twice to collect and spend bonus energy and peruse the shipments for stuff I need.
To be fair, most of these posts are just yelling at haters to quit hating.
But haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate.
And yellers gonna yell yell yell yell yell. Yell it off. Yell it off.
To be clear for newer folks, there's a difference between criticism and haterism. Criticism is all well and good--you didn't like the casino scene, okay, that's criticism, agree to disagree. Haterism is... Well, read any review by someone wearing a fedora in their headshot.
I think they should release ANOTHER Han Solo and Chewie. That's what we need more than Jedi Luke at this point....
Thing of it is, though, yeah, you intended to be sarcastic but you're actually right: They should release a set of characters tied to the next movie. That's what we need more than a character that very few people will be able to get who comes from a 35 year old movie. That property isn't going anywhere, it's a finished product and there's no need to hype Return of the Jedi. Solo is a new movie that's going to bring new eyes to the franchise and new players to the game.

On 25th May we got double drops last year:

I also hope for double drops because they're really a good idea and better than chance drops (Ahsoka Tano (Fulcrum), Amilyn Holdo, Chirrut Îmwe, Darth Nihilus, Director Krennic, Gar Saxon): https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/168296/content-update-hf-5-1-2018

Same, but in my defense I've got like 30 less.

So, yeah. It *is* what we need.
