Bonus protection/ protection up.

If anyone can enlighten me on this I would be really grateful..
Enfys Nest gains 40% Bonus protection on each hit. Those are based on her maxhealth.

Wampa, Darth Traya, Bastille shan ( and probably other that I'm forgetting about )gains protection UP .....are these bonus based on max health ? Or max protection....

its probably a simple work around so that a toon without protection can still gain this buff.

Thanks! I wasn't certain if it was the same ( protection up/ bonus protection )
