Adding more pilots to shipments?

So, the biggest problem with fleet right now is ship diversity. It is difficult to add new ships because we lack their appropriate pilots. Now, a lot of these characters are minor, and liable to be not be very exciting lending themselves poorly to marquee events. I know it was stated that there was no intention of adding characters to shops like GW and Cantina, but what if these minor characters were added to the game there, being mostly intended for TW/TB stuff and opening the door for more ships without the feel-bad of a relatively low-power character as a marquee event. This would allow things like;

Tycho Celchu (A-wing)
Ten Numb (B-wing)
Baron Soontir Fel (TIE Interceptor)
Captain Vult Skerris (TIE Defender)
Captain John "Dutch" Vander (Y-wing)
etc
