I was hoping for a little more from this event. Finished the highest tier with Qi'ra, Yolo, VChewie, L3, and OGhan. The amount of mod salvage I received could have been done with a day's worth of energy, maybe one refresh. Also got a half dozen of the same garbage health mods they give away during marquee events. Would have been nice if each tier gave you enough salvage to actually upgrade a mod.
Tier 1: white to green
Tier 2: green to blue
Tier 3: blue to purple
Tier 4: purple to gold

Rewards were cool. I got a bunch of golden mods with speed. And you can do it twice

Agreed they are underwhelming, but will depend on the event cadence, if it is once a month this is not worth it, but if it is more frequent the rewards make sense. I hope this is not the only purpose for the solo toons, I put a lot of resources into that farm, if that is not paid off with a legendary it would be a big let down.
