My idea to expand TB for long term (WARNING: Long read with lots of details)

Current set-up:
Phase 1, Phase 2, Phases 3-6
Rebels = 1 turf, 2 turf, 2 turf + Ships till the end.
Empire = 2 turf, 2 turf, 2 turf + Ships till the end.

Current tactic from most Guilds (probably) = Combat with Top 3 or 4 LS/DS Squads, Platoon what you can, Deploy what’s left.

I am NOT saying current TB is bad. But I believe it lacks long-term viability, and potential fun with Strategy.

My Suggestions:
1. Make TB 3X Bigger with more turfs, with altered Territory Points structure
2. Add additional layers of “value” and Guild Strategy to Platoons
3. Include Ships to the 1st and 2nd Phases

Intention from Suggestions:
1. More Combat and more Platoons, thus less reliance on Deployment.
2. Strategic use of leftover units for more value.
3. Ships 2.0 has had more use and value, why neglect them for a third of TB?

Details:
1. Instead of everyone fighting with their best 3 or 4 squads per Phase, the larger TB will require players to fight with their Top 6-9 Squads. Players kinda know if their lesser leveled/geared squads are able to do enough damage (in rounds). Decide to use them in Combat, or sacrifice them gain more Territory Points from Platoons. Keep Combat points structure the same. Platoons earn additional Points bonuses with each unit, either based per Platoon or a scale. While Deployment earns half as it is currently. Since more Toons are required to fight and Platoon, many players would have less to Deploy than it is currently anyways.

2. Keep current Platoons’ battlefield bonuses the same, but earn more Territory Points per unit Platoon’ed. Putting in a [7* + Gear 1 + Level 1] Toon will be worth less points compared to a Toon that is [5* + Gear 7 + Level 75 with 2 maxed Mods] (as an example). Currently, Platoons are a free-for-all, meaning you platoon whatever the game asks of you. Make one or two smaller Platoons that are “Shield” based only be Platoon-able with Toons that have Tank and Healer designations. “Turret” based Platoons can only be filled with Attackers and Support designations. The other Platoons can remain “free-for-all”. Those in full “Whale” Guilds would have an easier time obviously, while smaller, and less “spendy” Guilds can still do great if they focus on less turfs. Maybe even throw in a Platoon that has several Premium Toons for the “Whale” Guilds.

3. Ships to be included in Phases 1 and 2. But keep the “no Ships Platoons until Phase 3” we have as it is currently. As for Combat, both Phases can have 2 Combat Missions each, plus 1 Special Mission for bonus Guild Event Currency. Players past Level 70 most likely have all 3 original Capital Ships plus maybe 7 regular ships (even if they are not 7*'d). Even though they won’t have any ship close to being maxed, their ships should be sufficient enough to be challenging on manual play. Ships Platoons can have a similar bonus structure as Toon Platoons, which means Ships Deployment values will be half. Or we can save this for the future when there are at least 75 non-capital ships in the game.

EA can still have in Premium Toons/Ships to Platoons, but shouldn’t make it difficult to achieve at least 2/6 for the first four Phases. There will also be no need to have one Platoon that requires 4 of the same Toon. With more turfs, they can add include an additional Combat mission with Required Toons to play, as we have currently. Bonuses can be Guild Event Currency, Toon shards, Crystals, or Mod Slicing pieces. This way as time goes on, Premium Toons will have a special place in TB, while the old Premium Toons gets reduced to become regular. For example, Darth Nihilus would have been a Premium Toon 18 months ago. Today he’d be considered a regular Toon. Up to EA to decide how many Premium Toons are classified as such, before their demotion…maybe the Newest 7 or 10 or 12?

Ideally, a 25/50 sized Guild with 30-35 million GP should be able to do well (not perfect) for the first 3 Phases, before needing to narrow their focus on less turfs for the second half.

If Ships in TBs can be expanded, it would help to flood the game with more ships for both LS and DS, and applicable pilots if necessary. The pilots and ships don’t have to be all OP, just enough to add variety in the game without everyone panic farming them. They can be as simple as variants of existing ships' templates with generic Toons if applicable. These could make Ships Platoons more fun.

-TIE Bomber Pilot with bomber (slower, more offence, more durability than regular TIE)
-TIE Interceptor Pilot with interceptor (faster, more offence, less durability than regular TIE)
-Vult Skerris with TIE Defender
-Grand Inquisitor with his TIE Advanced
-Y-Wing Pilot with Y-Wing (slower, more offence, more durability than Biggs/Wedge’s X-Wings)
-A-Wing Pilot with A-Wing (faster, less offence, less durability than Biggs/Wedge’s X-Wings)
-B-Wing Pilot with B-Wing (roughly the same speed, more offence, more durability than Biggs/Wedge’s X-Wings)
-Naboo Fighter Pilot with Naboo Fighter (very generic fighter)
-Bravo Leader with Naboo Fighter (stronger than generic Naboo Fighter)
-red TIE Interceptor for Royal Guard (upgraded version of regular TIE Interceptor)
-Porax-38 (or Rogue-class) starfighter for Magna Guard
-Vulture Droid
-Droid Tri-Fighters
-Generic Clone Pilot with Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter
-Generic Clone Pilot with V-19 Torrent starfighter
-Belbullab-22 for General Grevious
-Tallissan Lintra with Resistance A-Wing

Side request: With Ships like above (or others) that could be added, would a pure Ship Raid be possible thereafter?

Would this be possible for a mobile game? Or would this be too much for the Guilds to handle? I have read on the forums that some people feel current TB requires too much communication and planning.

    As it is currently:
    -every Toon you put in a platoon, you earn TB Points 1:1 based on the Toon's GP
    -fill 2/4/6 of the 6 you get a Battlefield benefit for the current or next day

    My idea would be to add on an additional GP counter on the 15X6 Platoon structure. It could be as simple as:
    -540,000 to 764,999 GP = + 5% GP
    -765,000 to 854,999 GP = +10% GP
    -over 855,000 GP = +15% GP

    OR it possible to make it Rewards based and not Additional Points based:

    -540,000 to 764,999 GP = + 5 Crystals (or +5 Guild Event Currency)
    -765,000 to 854,999 GP = +10 Crystals (or +10 Guild Event Currency)
    -over 855,000 GP = +15 Crystals (or +20 Guild Event Currency)

    It wouldn't be much, but with multiple Platoons per TB, they add up.

    To not mess with the current Platoon setup of 6X15. These "specialty" Platoons has to be smaller. Maybe can be 3X8 or 2X10. Mostly because all of them might also be in their respective Phase's "free-for-all" Platoons, and/or negated due to being a requirement for a Special Mission.
