Avoiding a crit with "Crit avoidance" arrow. Count as evading?

I am just curious if the arrow increases a character's chance to "evade."

Anyone know the answer beyond guessing?

No guessing necessary. There is also one for an attack dealing special damage. The arrow counts towards both.

The attack will land if it lands, but the arrow will reduce the chance of that attack being a crit.

@Kyno So if I put 5 crit avoidance arrows behind Ahsoka Tano leading on the team , I can expect 20% turn meter gain from the leader ability if any of them "avoid" the crit?

Oh, and if anyone is wondering why I would do this it is because Mace JC Plo and Ahsoka all have ships that I am heavily into. Just trying to make this five as useful as possible. I do have GMY...

No. Evasion is evasion, meaning the attack doesn't hit.

The attack will still hit, but will be less likely to crit. There is no evasion increase from mods.

So I will just put Plo, Ahsoka, JC, and Mace behind a zeta GMY for an off GA defense team I guess.
