Do they know they haven't announced the event yet?

Every other time we have had an event, the date of the event start has been announced when the requirements were solidified, almost always a week before the event and usually before the kit is revealed. Well we know the requirements and have the kit, is it possible they just forgot to include that the event is starting on Thursday/Friday of this week.

Jeez, I’m on the forums everyday. Why do I have to follow them on Twitter and watch a lame marketing video to find out the event date? This forum has a section for announcements. Why can’t the devs just use it?

What the....they should be announcing the event date exactly 1 week before the event takes place. I was still running under the assumption that I have at least 14 more days of farm to get where I want to....C'MON!
