The way it reads it appears they start with 5 stacks each and then they can gain one more stack each when an enemy is defeated up to 10 stacks total per trooper.

    Edited for clarity.

Yes. its implied that if you made a team of say, EP, Vader, Shoretrooper, Royal Guard, Krennic

Shoretrooper will have 5 stacks even though he is the only imperial trooper unit in your team

What I would like to know is if Jango's Zeta or Boba's Execute prevent them from reviving.

Yes it would prevent them from reviving

EDIT: Jango lead (speed bonus and burning acting as daze) and Boba's execute seems to be the best counter

Just worry about the bonus turn the imperial trooper gets to take after being revived. Make sure to whittle away the tank or weakest of them first to then work on the rest after exhausting the 5 stacks.

Does anyone think that it is possible to dispel the bonuses? Like, Sion's AoE and they are all gone? It would basically destroy the advantage that they would have with the bonuses.

Kyno said in another thread that he confirmed it can’t be dispelled.
