When Zeb gets translation, will it increase his protection based on his unique?

No, I believe both bonuses are based on the same "base stat", his stats after mods are accounted for when entering a battle.

That's actually a good question I think. I think they recently went to change Enfys Nest to make sure she was targeting current max health. It depends on if Zeb's max protection is affected by health down and health up. I could see an argument for where his max protection should change.

It most likely will not increase is max protection.
Most abilities like that trigger at the start of battle or on a revive. I can't seem to get to swgoh.gg mechanics page for him so can't take a look right now
