C3P0: Bugged or WAI?

I use C3P0 in arena and noticed something recently. When C3P0 is defeated, rebel allies no longer inflict expose on basic. I have checked that it isn't getting resisted, and this has happened in several battles.

In his kit, there is no mention of this expose only happening when C3p0 is alive, so am I missing something? I don't want to create a bug report if I am not sure it is a bug.

Unique abilities only apply while that character is alive, that's how all uniques work, leader abilities remain in effect after the leader has died.

Unique skills always stop after the toon dies.
