Grand arena allowed toons

Anybody know why some of my toons can't be assigned in grand arena? My very beginner ewok squad won't let me put my chief chirpa 3 star gear 6 as a defensive squad but all my other ewoks are allowed. My Paploo is also gear 6 but is allowed in please help

Did you unlock them before roster lock a few days ago? Or did you just unlock them today?

Any new character, which you unlocked during the last two days are unavailable for GA.

Yea I got chirps today and r2 yesterday I didn't realize roster lock was a thing I just assumed it was a join period should pay more attention I guess

Any changes to your roster after roster lock (upgrades, primotions, unlocks and
what not) will not affect the current GA.
