Would it be difficult to allow players to chat with their allies?

I'm thinking that it would be really cool if your allies were like friends in Hearthstone. You could chat whenever. It would also be cool if we could spectate battles also, like Hearthstone, but I'd be happy with just the ability to chat. Seeing as we can't even get EA/CG to acknowledge and fix bugs, I think that asking them to allow you spectate your allies battles would be too much. :-)
