HK zeta LttM Persisting after death?

Is it me or is his zeta "Loyalty to the Maker" persisting after death? just called gmy with jolee after killing hk, and gmy didnt seem to gain any tm...
did it happen to anybody else?
EDIT: of course i'm hitting somebody else with health above 50% so gmy should gain it... or else i shouldn't be asking...
