Betting on Nute Gunray - Padme event

Hi Guys,

I plan to try out the Padme event with following team:

ZzAssaj G12+1
GGz G12 (leader with unique zeta)
B2 G11
Sun Fac G11

Based on my intuition, I want to gear up Nute Gunray and put him in 5th slot as I feel he will get a significant boost in upcoming rework (except his leadership will be nerfed) and will work well in a GG squad later. He may also get a ship.

Is there any way to use nute gunray in Padme event now? Any advice would be appreciated.

Also, if I gear up Nute now for the Padme event, will I get back all my gear after the rework? That may just help me fill up the 5th slot now with no risk of permanent gear lock!

Nute has a huge weakness, he puts his useless self on stealth and then he dies last, that's a problem because you can't get Assajj to get all the bonuses as she will get killed before nute. He's absolutely trash for this event, mine is g10 and I didn't use him for the unlock
