Grand arena 27th sign up?

Is there not a grand arena starting today? I have no option to join. Am I alone?

It's live but it looks like a replay on the one that just finished. I'm thinking that is not what CG intended.

Considering they had 2 GAs planned in a row that were 5v5 with characters and ships....I think they intended that yeah.

I don't think they intended the same Mk7 Shield Generator rewards though.

Yes, it was supposed to be 5v5 squad + ships again, however:
* there are two map variants for that
* they don't generally have the exact same GA variant twice in a row these days
* they don't generally have the same gear reward twice in a row

They usually don't repeat the same type as well. They did in the past no ships then ships then no ships with the same squad numbers thou.

I'm not saying don't sign up. On the contrary, please do. I am just noting that having the exact same setup for back-to-back GAs is unusual and may be unintended.

the exact set up happens for TW, and nobody complains about that.

It may be that GA and TW run through the same bit of code to create the various modes...
