New fleet animations causing battles to freeze

Twice now since the fleet animation update, I’ve had battles freeze up. Considering the GAC feat is tied to wins over a certain time period, this is a big deal. I’ve had 2 attempts and two wins taken from me. Both happened on an ability that killed a toon. The attacker and defender both disappeared from the screen and the attacker never returned to the lineup position. From then on I had no ability to do anything but watch the timer run. And then reboot the game. Support was zero help. They blew me off with a half hearted apology.
