Where did the update announcement go for today?

It was there a few hours ago, and now when I go to read it the thread is completely gone .

It was just one of those "doesn't affect anything" updates but yeah it is weird it got pulled.

Maybe they are trying to let it go under the radar so fewer people datamine the update?

You mean like the Q & A where they answered a large number of relic related questions? This included a few popular ones like "Why so close to G13" and "What are you doing for new players" and "Drop rates?"

As for the glitchyness of the game post update, well they did address that in the update notes and are working on a fix.
