Dark side hard 5A - Chewie is bugged

He seems to be taking 2 turns in a row with no cooldowns on any of his abilities. He heals constantly and it seems nearly impossible to kill him. He definitely doesn't behave like any other Chewie in the game.

Several people have noticed this and many heroes on different levels have moded abilities and/or gear or stats.

I think this is an intended road block to force an understanding of the value in high dps attackers.

Maybe. But I am using the best dark side chars I have and the best ones I can borrow and not getting close. He goes spastic as soon as the guys around him are killed, but if you don't kill those guys, they AoE you to death. He shrugs off stuns and ability blocks almost instantly.
Anyone have suggestions for beating this, other than waiting until I am level 60 with all 7* chars and brute-forcing it?
