Chewbacca basic and foresight

Something I havent understood recently is chewbacca using his basic when an enemy has foresight specifically bastila shan fallen. If badstilla is under a DR lead then chewies basic will miss. However under a traya or EP lead chewies basic hits. Any insight on why this happens would be appreciated.

Idk if it's WAI but when toons are stunned, Foresight does not proc or get consumed. Since DR lead immediately dispels all stuns, BSF's Foresight protects her.
