Bariss Self-Heal With Debuff

During GW a strange thing happened:
The opponent's Bariss was my main target and my Sid proc'd his anti-heal ability on her putting her 1 hit from death (1 red bar of health). She had the next move and cast her group heal which healed her to green (about 80% health).
How can her ability negate the anti-heal buff on her and heal herself? I can see it balancing the rest of the team, but it still should not work on anti-heal debuffed toons.
It just seemed strange to me to see this happen.
