Another gac matchmaking thread, but different

Hey, so I’m not sure if they’ve changed the matchmaking but every person in this round is in the top 1000 players in the world for this current round. So all undefeated judging by that. Have they changed it or have I just got extremely unlucky?

Did you hit Chromium league before today's matchmaking? If so, you may have earned yourself a bracket full of tryhards.

Yes I’m in chromium. But it never went on that before did it?

Matchmaking is restricted by league as well as division. If you progress too quickly at the start of a GAC, you may end up in a relatively small Chromium league with other players who also progressed quickly.

You are matched by division, league and relevant GP. It's been like this since cross-league matches were removed last year.

That's the whole point of leagues - to have more and more even matches as we progress through the championship.
